Have you ever looked in the mirror and barely recognized yourself? Maybe you just had a child, or you wake up a few years after having several kids. Or maybe you just hit a certain age and a life event, a period of lifestyle or diet neglect, or a hormone shift happens.
In my virtual office, many women are struggling with feeling like they need to get back to themselves. Have you ever felt that way? Like, if you can just fit into those jeans from two years ago, a sense of relief would wash over you. Sis, you are not alone!
What I’ve learned from my own journey and helping clients work through body changes, is that it’s important to be gentle with yourself. The good news is you can have bold health goals and take steps towards achieving them.The biggest secret to reaching your goals is usually releasing the need to compare the new YOU with the old YOU, and making the old you #goals.
No matter where you are in your health journey it’s important to first honor where you are NOW, and acknowledge that you don’t need to go backwards. To move forward and create a new vision for your health you need to be loving, accepting, and curious about what your body can transform into now. In short, having the body you want, begins with accepting the one you have.
